  1. i have two DVD's that i want to rip and put into one DVD disc. the DVD's are for a religious class so there's no copyright restrictions. what i want to do is rip the two DVDs and compress the video and audio so i can merge them in Adobe Premiere and then author the video onto a new DVD+R disc.

So, what should I do? I know how to use DVD Decrypter. How do I compress the video and audio so I can edit them in Adobe Premiere?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You could parse the mpeg streams in VDubMod and save as new AVI files with whichever codec....MJPEG or Huffyuv, etc, and re-encode resizing to half D1 resolution (assuming your source is full D1) using a lower VBR.

Or just re-encode the mpeg files @ half D1.

Half D1 @ 2312-2410 VBR will get you 4 hours on a DVDr, depending on your audio bitrate.

Or you could just use something like DVD Shrink and compress the everloving shit out of it.

I'd do it with DVDShrink, reauthor mode. You won't get a menu, but you can select what title to view with the remote. Encoding to AVI and then back to mpeg seems like an awful roundabout way to do it.
