how do i take out cuss words?

I have this 30 minute video with quite a few cuss words in it (b*tch,f***,etc.) and I was wondering how i can take those out or cover them up. I would appreciate it.

1. Demux the audio
2. open it in a sound editor
3. find the cuss words
4. overwrite them with silence or *bleep*
5. remux audio an video

Alternately, you can use video editing software and do the same thing.

thanks for the help. I used Audacity to edit the audio, and the cuss words are covered by silence. Really appreciated it.
