VHS to DVD for the LOWEST price....

Hello all. I'm at the point in my life where I need to be able to transwer VHS to DVD. I have about 100 tapes with footage that was filmed in VHS. To be honest, I don't feel like setting up my computer to do the transfer, as I already do enough with it (the poor little baby). I would rather buy a DVD recording deck that does all the work.
My question to you all is, what is the (absolutely lowest costing) deck that I can buy, either by ordering online, or going to a walk in store? To be HONEST, if there is a deck that exists for LESS than 200 bux, I'll get it. The only one that exists so far that I heard was a piece of crap was the Phillips. Not sure of the model name, but I'm assuming there aren't many Phillips decks UNDER 200 bux out there. I've heard that it really screws up the finished product.
Anyways, all I need to do is the transfer to DVD, then once I do that, I can then rip it on my computer and do the whole menus/chapters thing. ANY help/info would be appreciated. And remember, UNDER 200 bux if there's one out there that exists.....

If you look at 'DVD Writers' to the left and then check 'Only Desktop DVD Recorders', then click on the price column to sort, you will see about 5 in the $250US price range. Do some research on them and you may find one that suits you discounted down to around $200US.

The LiteOn 5001 is under $200 ... and can do MANY things ... and a few it cannot do. What are your EXACT intentions and requirements of the machine? That is needed too. No machine does it all.

Also, the Akai DVDRW120 is available at Amazon.com for $200. According to some, this is a fan-cooled version of the Liteon 5001.

I bought a cheap Magnavox DVD recorder that actually does a fine job of VHS transfers however I mostly use it to record from the TV. You can get the same recorder at Target stores or from ebay like this one.
