  1. I was pretty careless when adjusting the settings in TMPGEnc and now the picture looks vertically stretched. Is there a program that I can use to edit my outputted file and fix the picture or do I need to encode again?

  2. If your output file is Mpeg2, then im pretty sure theres something you could change in the header that will tell any decoder that its 16:9. I could be wrong, (i usually am) Guys?

    Or...

If you are planning to make a DVD you could use Vobedit, after you have authored the movie, to change the aspect ratio flag to 16:9. (I have no clue how do this BTW)

I originally encoded it as "NTSC Film" (23.97 fps) with "3:2 Pulldown During Playback" (adds flags to play as 29.97 fps) in TMPGEnc. With DVDPatcher, do choose the framerate as NTSC Film or NTSC?

I would guess NTSC film (because 29.97 IS NTSC and you use 23.97, but I'm not that current in NTSC specifics, so I'd recommend to give it a try with a rewritable disk.

    Cheers
