Iv'e tried searching the articles but to no avail? Hmm I got this movie which has been converted to divx/xvid codec...it's a 1 1/2 - 2 hour movie but it's only 700+MB. How do I convert this to vcd? I'm thinking I have to make 2 vcds? As 1 vcd can only contain 60-70min of video? I don't mind making a 2 disc vcd but my problem here is how do I do that using Nero?
I'm using Nero Burning Rom 6 Enterprise Edition.

Does vcd have better quality or the divx/xvid? If you compress a full movie into just 700-800MB then I guess a lot of quality loss eh?

    Thanks ppls.

Not sure you can do that with Nero. Why don't you just load the file into Tmpgenc and used one of the Vcd templates to convert, then burn the converted mpg files with Nero? Vcd should be will less quality than your Divx file but will look a lot better when viewed on a standard television screen as opposed to a computer monitor which is much higher resolution and shows every flaw.

  3. If you look on the left-hand side of the browser window, you'll see a navigation bar. There is a guides section. You want to convert XviD --> VCD, so you would click on "Convert". This will list all the guides, from which you can pick one that suits you.

Please try to do this before posting up and asking how it is done. It will save you time - you find your guide without waiting for another user to find it for you.

Here's the link to all the "convert to VCD" guides:

This is a link to one that I think you'd get along nicely with:

    https://www.videohelp.com/tmpgenc.htm

You will need to make two VCDs out of this file.

    Best of luck,
