I had an adventure with a used dvd the other day. they're good casue they're cheap, but also annoying. It seems that when rental outlets sell their dvd's, they peel their label off, leaving the top of the disc kinda sticky. I watched the movie and then when it was over I ejected the tray, but the dvd didn't come out. It was stuck to the top of the player! so after some fumbling around i decided the only way to get it out would be to open the case and take it out. so thats what I did, breaking the little sticker and voiding my warranty in the process. what a pain!

In a similar vein, I once had to remove a melted cheese slice from my CD player that a friend's little shit of a son put there. I found it after they had left. Now, if that had been my DVD player... I try not to think about it.

Toast in my old VCR (long gone) was another favourite.

Loved the pic you posted on my 'Breasts' thread by the way

Try cleaning off the sticky stuff from the used DVD with WD-40 or gasoline or SOMETHING before you use it the first time.

  4. Warm soapy water. Solvents may damage the plastic the disc is made of.
