Came across this software in a consumer PC magazine
As there has been some discussion on this topic here-thought that it might be helpful.
The software creates the auto.inf file needed. You don't need to be a geek to use it.
Download from
http://www.utdallas.edu/~jbs024000/software/cda.html
The site also has a tutorial on it.
What you need to do is to have the files you want on the CD in one folder-add the exe file downloaded from site (it is in a zip file) to same folder-run exe-possible to get elaborate menu if you want!!
Select autorun.exe as file to run automatically after configuring buttons as you want-you get a menu-create the auto.inf file-burn all files to a CD( With the standard 700 MB CD-R-I suggest not exceeding 685 MB)
Don't see any reason why it should not work with DVD.
Try it out with a CD-RW to make sure you have understood the process.
Very handy for saving your videos to CD without converting to VCD or DVD and select for playback with a simple menu like a DVD or VCD
Using it should be child's play for members of this forum!!
Have fun!!![]()

If you are a geek, you can setup the autorun manually to play the video with a copy of VLC or MPC (which you include on the CD). That way you can play the CD on any computer without having to worry if said computer has the right codecs. Plus, then you don't need to use WMP.

You can supply the codec you use-player etc-the software allows you to do all that-no need to be a geek!!
