With less than two weeks to its start date, everybody is making plans for the great day. The question is: What kind of people are you?, are you the kind that will buy tickets in advance or stand in line for a few hours (or days) in order to watch it on its first show?. Are you willing to pay huge ammounts of money in order to buy tickets for on of the pre-release charity shows?, or will you wait for a few days, even a week or two, to let the others enough time to clear the movie theaters and let you in the easy way?.
I myself go for the middle. I will purchase tickets in advance and will try to do everything in my power to watch the movie on its first day, but if I can't, I won't sweat it, I can wait a few days, but definitely I'm going to watch it as soon as I can.

Hi,
I'll buy tickets for the midnight show assuming they're not already sold out.
KevinDonatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Never would be too soon........haven't watched a single one of the Star Wars films.

My son's birthday is the day before, and he wants to see it as soon as possible. That is one of his birthday presents, and he wants to see it the first day. But I am willing to wait til at least the weekend. I don't get what I want a whole lot though.

An obvious answer...but not listed amoung the choices. as soon as it comes out on DVD. I'll go over to Walmart and buy it for $ 15.00 us.. That's soon enough for me

Actually, I'll be in Florida visiting some family and one of em works at a local theather down there.
They're having a 'family screening' the night before, so I'll be lucky enuff to see it sooner then I was able to for the others (episodes I & II that is).
Otherwise, I'd prolly wait a few days to go see it... Love Star Wars, but not that much to sell the first born offspring to see it.

Already got tickets for the first day. 3rd row center VIP seats at Loews...matinee show so only about $11.
I said a while back that I would'nt go see it since george fucked up the first 2 prequels so bad....and then the originals when he released them to DVD....thank god you can download laser disc to dvd rips....pretty nice to.
Anywho, the previews and all the other unreleased bootleg footage I have seen looks like this is actually going to be a killer flick. I am almost 70% confident I won't be disappointed. -
I will see it on June 1st.
I figure that's long enough after release day to avoid the huge crowds, and in the middle of the week definitely beats the weekends at theatres around here."To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." - Steven Wright

I put in for the day off weeks ago...Can' wait to see it. Hopefully my nephews will get to go too.

Its a must see, but i can wait for the DVD.
Just wait till Babylon5 The memory of Shadows is in the theaters, i will be there on the first day, for sure! -
I might watch it when it's shown on TV if I've got nothing better to do at the time.
-
I'll walk up to the theatre at about noon on the first day, wait in no line, and only pay $4 for tickets. And the theatre will maybe be half full at best. Yes, it'll be a stadium seating modern theatre.

I can get there 10 minutes into the movie and still have me premium seat. Plus that also includes a $3.50 coupon for the resturante.
So, $11 is actually cheap. I think normal VIP seat is $15 and a regular matinee seat is about $6 or $7.
And yeah...somewhere between 68 and 69% confidence.
I have a dentist appointment right before the show....I will let you know which experience is less painful!! -

An opening at my home theatre has yet to be announced.
When the DVD is released, that's when the curtain will go up.
No long lines, gum stuck my seat, popcorn strewn everywhere, or sticky soda all over the floor. Just a comfortable couch, 7.1 surround sound, and no butter on the popcorn.
I can wait. -
I'll wait until a friend of mine buys the DVD, then borrow it, then take it home to rip / view. I'll find that this new DVD has some really wicked copy protection scheme, then I'll be first to tell the video community that Star Wars, Ep III cannot be ripped, and that George Lucas must really be a genius to come up with an unbreakable copy protection scheme.
I'll then get berated by Gurm, who will tell me that all I need to do is upgrade to the latest DVDDecrypter and then I can rip the movie with no problems - like he did. I will insist that I have the latest version, when I really have only the next-to-last version, and I will offer to send Gurm my burn from my attempted copy, to see if he can rip it.
He will call me an idiot, and begin a major flame war that will last 8 to 10 weeks.

Being a fan of the Original Trilogy, I will not give Lucas another cent of my money after being burned by the first 2 eps. I'm not paying to see it, I don't think I'd even want to go see it if someone paid for me. The new Doctor Who has better stories than this new trilogy. :P
All in all, I'd probably watch bits my brother's DVD when he gets it and hopefully, there'll be more of the Padme Fashion Show and Natalie bouncing past a kitchen window. That's pretty much all that ep2 had going for it.

T.J., Mexico.
VIP theater, stadium seating in leather "love seats", bar, sushi bar, etc.
$5. And thats full price, not bargan. Wont make any movie better though.I don't have a bad attitude...

I won't go to see it. I prefer the original episodes. The new ones are not that good as the old ones.
The Visual Effects are simply too "synthetic". I prefer good movies "backgrounds" instead of those generated by computers. The are more natural and real.
