Hi,
I've just ripped the vobs from Shrek dvd, and I've played them through Win dvd and the quality and image and sync are fine.
This is the prob. Once I encode with CCE, the film again, as an mpv plays fine and audio sync is good, but the film although visually ok, looks like a mass of small blocks. Its not similar to what I would call blockiness in fast movement, it just appears as the total picture is a wave of blocks. Hope that makes sense.
I'm using SVCD format.
Settings in CCE are block noise on 6
Image quality 10
Linear quantizer ticked
zigzag scanning order ticked
multi pass vbr x3
max bitrate 2400
avg 1800
min 500
The dvd is PAL,Interlaced.
Does it have anything to do with it being CGI????, as I've seen posts about probs with CGI films??
Any help appreciated.
Thanks
Raider.
