    I don't know. I'm in a small city (30,000) and I just heard we lead the US in heroin overdose deaths on a per capita basis. I wondered why the crime rate was so high. We have an influx of outsiders and they bring more than their share of crime and drugs here. It helps to live in a rural area, but you still need your .357 magnum to keep you warm at night. Real problem seems that too many people don't seem to give a shit anymore. When you know your neighbors and your neighborhood you are a lot safer.

    I live in a city(more like an area comprised of several cities, districts, etc. known as "The Lower Mainland") theres about 2 million people, yet murders rarely occur. when anyone gets murdered or shot or attacked in anyway, it's really big news. Something about Canadians being nicer I suppose
