Do you close the bathroom/toilet door when you go the toilet/shower even if you are home alone/live alone?
Just an observation I had a day or so ago when I was home alone yet still shut the door when going for a shower and was wondering how many other people did it.

if im at home i would prob just push it half closed, MAYBE shut it (def not lock it!). however, in my house (at uni) i would prob shut it, and if i was having a shower, lock it, just in case 1 of my flat m8s came home or something!?

If I am in the shower, Yes. Only to keep the cold air from coming in.

I always close it. I guess force of habit. When I shower I close it to keep it nice and warm in there.

When I'm taking a shower, I close it about 3/4 of the way. This way the steam can escape when I'm taking a hot shower and the mirror wont be fogged up. When I have to pee, I rarely close the door. My bathroom is situated in such a way that if I open the door, I can see the TV in my room so if nature calls, I just leave the door open and I dont have to miss TV.

In my house (at uni) the toilet and shower are separate. I personally close and lock them all.
It's more for the protection of those around me...

How many here also close the bathroom door when they take a leak ...even when they're home alone? I do ....

I usually, close it all the time.
If I doing the business, I don't want to stink up the rest of the house

Wow! You guys got indoor plumbing? With doors? Mine's a "grab a shovel and a quick trip out to the woods" setup!

Brian: Peter, I think all we have is an outhouse
Peter[in the outhouse]: Lois, I dont get how this works. It's just a hole...and I dont think it goes anywhere. Yup, definitely doesnt go anywhere.
[a bird knows the outhouse over]
Peter: UUUGGGH...IT'S EVERYWHERE...UHHH GOD...UGGGGH IT'S GOING INTO MY RACOON WOUNDS
Sorry, it just reminded me of that. -

Nope, never. This should be a poll. I'm not sure if my bathroom door can be closed properly.

Closed and locked....force of habit.
Side note....my friends work place just REMOVED the stall doors in all the bathrooms...seems they have had problems with the Somalies leaving #2's all over the place!
I didn't believe him, but I went to visit him at work and its true...they even have a sign up, in picture form, that shows how to dispose of your business "in the proper way".

Yeah, we had to do that in our house at uni. In the middle floor toilet, we found a massive turd (like the damned Titanic), with no toilet paper. Someone had gone, done that nasty thing and not even cleaned up.
How disgusting?!
I'm just looking forward to next year when I'm living in a house with four of my mates. Nothing like that should happen there. I hope.

Nah, I'm home now anyway and the guys I'm living with next year are OK. I'm trying to think of the filthy things going on. I'll make a list:
- Nobody seemed to clean the tea towels. They were festering and stinking, and people still used them! I once took it for as long as I could stand, then washed them all with a quadruple dose of detergent on a hot wash.
- The bottom floor toilet. Someone constantly went for a foul-smelling dump in there, didn't open the window and left the door wide open. It would stink the entire stairwell out.
- One of the guys who shall remain nameless would shower with no soap or anything. It heated up and vapourised his body odour, which then stank out the middle level. It was stomach-turning.
- The kitchen.
As for bumping this thread, I saw it and thought "Hmm. It's not been declared as fucked up yet, in spite of the promise it shows!".

door closed and locked, five of us in the house and someone will always come in unexpectedly.
i remember once or twice hearing the door getting unlocked and my girlfriend joining me in the shower..... nice memories, but sadly nothing else.
Our bathroom just got re-done, and the new toilet is rubish. the exit pipe is tiny and the damn things always get stuck
