It's been a while since I have had time to try all these new programs for burning DVDs but I'm at it again. I purchases DVD XCOPY a while back but I'm tired of tsome movies work and others not so here is what I did.

I'm using Nero 6 with Recode 2. I only have 1 DVD/DVD Burner. I can copy the DVD with ANYDVD and Recode 2 but only to my hard drive. That is one thing I liked about DVDXCOPY you could put your original disk in then later it would ask for a blank. Anyway I'm having a problem geting my new files to my new blank disk. How do I burn my newly created files(I think there are about 8 of them). There is no option in Recode 2 to record the files to my DVD Burner it only lets me select Hard drive.

Hello,
If the files you are talking about are vobs then make a video_ts folder and stick them in there. Then use any basic dvd burning software and burn the folder (as the main directory, ie d:\video_ts). If you ripped with no menus it will play automatically. Good luck.

Well I use nero for burning. What steps do you suggest from this point?

Okay here it is step by step:
1. make folder video_ts
2. drag vobs (and ifo, bups) into video_ts folder
3. open nero
4. pop new disc in
5. at new project screen drag the video_ts folder into the new project section it should say 4gb or so (depending on the size of the movie)
6. select full session (just make it so it completes the disc and can't write any more to the disc)
7. click burn (or go or whatever the start button is for nero)

Hello,
It's me again. I forgot to mention this. Next time use dvdshrink to make your backups and it will load nero for you. I don't have nero (I use roxio) so I forgot about this. But, you will still need to do the manual burn for rips from other programs. Good luck.

Thanks alot! What kind of disk am I choosing to make? I don't remember seeing DVD. Is it a Data disk?

No problem, glad to help. You need to make sure your version of Nero does dvds. I don't know which ones do. You may be able to get a free dvd burning program. Check out the tools section on the side bar to the left of the screen (on this website). It just needs to be dvd. Since you're burning the video folder you'll use data mode (just the files no special formatting). All you need is a dvd compatible burning program and you're all set.
