    hi
    i have a dvd (svcd converted but same on both)

    the quality is ok but wherever there is lots of light eg beach,daylight scenes its too light like the brightness needs reducing

    is there a program that can adjust this ?

    virtuadub will do it but you'd better have a ton of hard disk space since unfortunately it outputs to avi.

    Tmpgenc and virtualdub with frameserve so you dont need to save as avi.
