  1. I have a question.

I just recently purchased a dvd burner and are now in the process of putting my svcd's onto dvd's the 'not reencoding but only resample sound' way, i managde to demux them fine, resample the sound and all, but when it comes to authering i'm in a bit of a twist I have been trying to auther them using Tmegenc dvd auther, a nice little program, but it simply wont accept the resolution on the svcd's, its not a standard dvd resolution and it just stops dead cold there.

I then found DVDStyler , this will do the job fine and I burned them and they work on my dvd player, but it's rather slow this program, and the options you have is rather limited to be honest, so in other words, do anyone have a good freeware program that can do this or know a way to make tmpeg enc to shut up about the resolution?

DVDPatcher let's you change the resolution info in the mpeg header. There's also svcd2dvdmpg that patches the header (and more if necessary) and resamples the audio in one go.

  3. yes I have been using svcd2mpg with some success, svcd2mpg didnt really like some of my svcd's maybe its the subtitle streams in them, I demuxed them with tmpgenc instead though, worked like a charm

thanks for the advice on dvd patcher, I will try that
