  1. Need to capture some audio/video from DIGI-BETA and HD-CAM formats..

    ..anyone know how to price this, about 40 hrs footage in total combined.

    Also, considee
    ring investing in digibeta player and hd player?...again any idea of prices?

  2. I did some work using Sony Digi-Beta's a few years back...the company at the time was renting them for about $500 USD/day. I think they were retailing for about 40K USD back then...not too cheap.

    d-beta

    40k would be a really cheap used model .. more like 60k ..

    BUT some models of the sony IMX series will read d-beta and sp and they are only around 15-18k-20k


    hdcam

    you can get a special model of a hdcam player only for about 10k-12k (and less)
    but it doesnt have sdi out ... or much else .... its for previewing tapes really.

    a normal hdcam is about 80k+ .. but ive seen used ones cheaper than d-beta once in a awhile .. might be high hour units though ..
