I downloaded this video, its 50MB and the audio has about a 1-2 second delay, is there any way to re-encode the video but move the audio track over by a few seconds so that the audio is synced again?

The video is encoded in DivX, i also have the same video encoded in MPEG1.. both have the same sync issues

I also have this problem when I capture avi. I get a 10ms delay on the audio. It turned into a nightmare to solve. Tried various solutions, most took a lifetime and were always a bit hit and miss.

I was browsing the Tools section here a few days ago and I came across an avi info tool called YAAI - Yet Another Avi Info. As well as being a handy info tool, hidden away on one of the tabs is the greatest A/V sync programs for avi files I've ever come across. Combines both onscreen video and audio for easy matchup and playback, and saves re-aligned avi info back to stream in about a second and playback is perfect on any player/encoder I've used.

I think more people should know about this great tool.
