  1. i converted a lot of real audio files to wav files, now i want to convert them to mp3 but they won't work on my mp3 player unless they're 22khz or higher, i currently use cool edit but every file takes more than 5 minutes to upsample is there a program that upsamples all the files together so i can leave it running overnight or something.
    thank you

you should be able to Batch convert in Cool Edit - check under the help file, it's been a while since I've done it.

but basically, you set your parameters, tell it where to find the input files, and set it loose.

Or, to save yourself the extra step of converting the RA to WAV (wasting time, and losing quality) and then to MP3, cut out the WAV conversion step by using Streambox Ripper.

We've discussed this excellent ripper/converter before, but you may not be aware of it. Take a look at this website for more info: Link

It features a built-in 10 line equalizer/amplifier, will handle encoding/decoding of WAV, MP3 and WMA, supports ID3 tags and even batch processes! For those of you with more specialized MP3 requirements, the latest version includes the Fraunhofer second generation MP3 encoding engine.

It's hard to find since it's fairly old and has been discontinued.
Here's a link where you can still find it: Link

I used it for years and it's indispensible when you need to convert RA to any other format.
