Hi to everyone !!!
I have a lot of problems so i did not know to witch section should i post my questions...
I have more avi files of the same movie and i want to have them on the same dvd (as much as possible not to lose from quality)
My avi's are in PAL format and i'm in a dvd NTSC region....
I'tryed with the guide "AVI,DivX,XviD to DVD with switchable subs using DVD2SVCD" (using DVD2SVCD)--for conversion avi-->dvd, and then "User guides - PAL / NTSC DVD Conversion (patch method)" (using IFOEdit) -- for dvd pal --->dvd ntsc. Really good method because it is verry easy to use !!!...And it worked good for singles avi's, BUT i dont know how to use this if i want more avi's to the same dvd...
Could you tell me another method to get this done ???
I remind you that i need something to convert : a FEW (as many as possible) AVI's from PAL ---> ONE dvd in NTSC
Thank you .

ifoedit only allows to author a disc with one title, so you can't use it for mult title discs. try tmpgenc dvdauthor, easy to use, free trial.
this means you'll need to encode your files to NTSC not PAL. this isn't as hard as you think. for audio, grab bsweet and virtual dub. open your avi in vdub, hit audio, full processing. then hit file, save wav. open the wav with bsweet and use the preset audio setting to go from PAL to NTSC. alternatively use goldwave and slow down the audio by 4%.
the video, load the avi in TMPGenc set your frame rate to 23.976 and check the "do not frame rate convert" box. this will simply slow down the video from 25fps to 23.976fps. if you encode the video at 352x480 with a 2-pass VBR bitrate of 2,000kbps with audio at 224kbps you'll get 270 mins a disc, enough for three 90 minute movies. if you need more/less use the bitrate calc. -
ok thanks !!!!
But after i get the audio and the video from one avi how i put them back together???
And after that how i put more avi on the same dvd??? -
I assume you want to multiplex the mpeg 2 video (m2v) and mpeg 1 layer 2 audio (mp2) files you have encoded with TMPG.
Start TMPG. File-MPEG Tools. Simple multiplex - load the video and audio, select MPEG2 DVD (or something like that), click run. The same for the other mpegs.
In the authoring application simly add all mpegs one by one - they will be in the same DVD. -
once you have all your M2v files (the video) and .ac3 files (your audio) you can put them into a different title using tmpgenc dvdauthor as i suggested. you can create a simple menu to let you select which one plays. multiplexing is an unneccasary and time wasting step as T.D.A. will happily accept seperate audio and video files.

i cannot add them to tmpgnc dvd author cause i get the following errors:
And for video also i get :
The same error i get even if i mux them toghether...
I can not put 23.976 fps on a dvd? This is how you tould me to do...
If i mux them i get an mpg that has at the end like one extrra hour and in this time i have only the last still frame of the movie... -
sorry, i forgot a step - i don't live in NTSC land so never encode in it. you need to download pulldown.exe and run your files through it. this tell the DVD player how to behave when playing back the video. unless you have a prog scan DVD player then it can't output 23.976fps, just 29.97. pulldown tells the player how to turn the 23.976 into 29.97 during playback.
