I'm looking to buy a dvd recorder to record tv shows (like a vcr) I'm wondering if anyone has digital cable and a recorder, cause I'm curious if I can record from all my cable channels 300 or so, or do the recorders channel selector on go to a certain point (ex 99 or 125)?
FYI looking to buy a philips dvdr615 or dvdr80, but want to here from anyone on this topic.....thanx

If you use the composite or s-video output of the cable box, you should be able to record any channel that you can see on your TV.
