I am looking to get some sort of labeling kit for the DVDs I send out to clients. Can anyone suggest a certain type/company? I have a decent printer, and I don't need the labels to be too fancy.![]()

Actually, if you do get any one of most labeling kits, the results will be very fancy, so don't worry. The problem comes deciding whether to use full or hub labels. You unknowingly just ignited the "label wars" again, as some people have few problems with full labels, and others, like me, will never go near them again.
I trusted one for sentimental video I had on a disk, much to my dismay, when I added the label, the disk no longer worked. Anyway, I strongly urge you to use hub labels, as they are the most reliable, and least expensive to use with the equipment you now own. This is my "shot across the bow", hub labels:
It was done by the Surething labeling system. Now, I "cry havoc, and let slip the dogs of war!"Hello. -
Those look nice. I don't think I want my entire disc covered with a sticker anyone. The media I use is a shiny gray color and I like it....it will look really nice with a little hub label.
Where can I order?
thanks for the info... -
It says the software for this is for windows. Do I even need to use software? Is there a template?

No, you do not need the software. You have to email them for the Mac templates. This from their site's FAQ:
Does this program work with Macintosh?
This is not a Macintosh program, however we do offer Mac templates for most of the SureThing-brand label types. These templates are for use with popular Mac programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PageMaker, QuarkXPress and others. Click here for the Mac templates.Hello. -

Also, do they have Indesign templates?
And is the Photoshop template layered? -
If you really wish to give your clients a "professional"-looking disc, you may wish to investigate an alternative to stick-on labels -- actually printing on the discs themselves with an inkjet printer designed to do this.
Epson offers several models, with the cheapest selling on the street for less than $99.
Printable disks are a few pennies more than "regular" discs, so the increased cost there is also negligable.
This alternative avoid the possible issues inherent with large stick-on labels and offers much more printing area than hub labels.
