  1. I just purchased a 250gb maxtor 7200rpm hard drive from compusa for $130 with no rebates.

    Here are my drives:
    60gb
    80gb
    175gb
    200gb
    200gb
    250gb
    ------
    total = 965gb

    can anyone else match up?

Not to some people it seems. They must compensate, no matter what what others may say.

i have 4 120 gig drives, all western digital so i am pushing only 480 gigs

one is a scratch video drive which gets zeroed after each project
the other is my "gaming" drive which has all my games installed on it in disk image format so i dont use the cd's/dvd in the drive

one is my system drive and the other is just a misc drive

total free space now is 220gigs combined

i have yet to fill one of them totally!!!! although i got really close with a dvd project i was working on once, it was 110gigs!!!!!!! phew

going by the write up, it sounds like it's found a home on caps' desk. it can find the paticular clown porn pic he desires 5 times faster than his old machine

One 120gig drive, one 60, one 40, one 20 and one eight. so only 248 for me

  12. Some dude on this forum has twin 3 Gigahertz XEONs with 2 TB of Hard Drive space & 2 Gigs of mushkin RAM. I can't recall his handle, though. I personally have 200 Gigs of HD space, but my RAM is twice as big as yours.

It wasn't long ago when they said 8GB was huge in a new PC and we would never fill it up.
A couple of years and 500GB will probably be an entry level drive.

320G total; 160 RAID0, 80 Boot, 80 Backup. It's enough for me. I don't really need the RAID setup, but I've never gotten around to splitting it to two seperate drives. (Got a ADVC-100, gave up video board captures.)
