    An absolute must read for deinterlacing in general. And the guy has several AVISynth techniques for deinterlacing.

    Reading his guide pointed me to probably the easiest way of deinterlacing in AVISynth.

  3. what should i do then?

    I am re-encoding a interlaced ntsc source and you say to encode it as interlaced. I am using CCE SP what is best method that you recommend then?

    Just encode it interlaced and make sure the field order is set correctly. Read the CCE FAQ.

    Of course, telecined material is a different kettle of fish. Experts perform IVTC (inverse telecine) on telecined video, but I'm in PAL land and I've never worked with telecined video. I can't help you with IVTC, but you can search this forum or Doom9's forum for more information.
