I've been using AutoGK to encode my avi's with the AC3 soundtrack. Using AC3Filter set to loud, they sound fine over the computer, but using my modded xbox, the volume is waaaaay too low.
Can I use Bsweet or another program to raise the gain & then re-mux it with the video? Goldwave won't open the .ac3 file, but if I open the avi, I can raise the volume, but I can only save it as a .wav file. I imagine this will lose the Dolbly Digital encoding?
I also tried SimpleDIVX & get the same result. I imagine Fair Use will also do the same.

There is an advanced av pack for the xbox that has optical out. Without one, it works the same way as a dvd player hooked up with the analogue outputs.
I'm trying to use BeSweet GUI to increase the gain of the ac3 soundtrack & the use avimux to remux the updated audio. I'll post my results. -
