hi just got a sony ericsson p800 and its supposed to play mpg4 on it but so far every format i have tryed failed, is ther a mpg4 format that will work or are all mpg4 formats the same? what tool(s) do i use and what template for that tool do i need to use please.

Have you got the resolution of the video correct for it? Look in the manual to find out what the maximum resolution allowable is.
All MPEG-4 streams should be decompressable by any other MPEG-4 player. WMV I'm not too sure about. DivX is probably your best bet. What format and resolution have you been trying with?
I don't own this phone, just took a quick look on the Internet to see what it was all about.

the mp4 format has to be quite specific on some phones....
I had best success with real video V8, using helix producer. produced something that was watchable, but not brilliant. -
Try the Nokia MultiMedia Converter available at Nokias developer site. It can convert most video formats to 3gp that P800 reads nicely!
