DVD Recorders (desktop) Manual - links

There are a lot of questions here about what each recorder can or can't do. Most of them can be answered by looking into user's manual (guide, instructions). So I thought it would be nice to have one place where we will have links to thos "sometime hard to find" web pages. I am sending this and I am linking mostly US websites so if there is different for different country or language and you wish to have it here too, just post it. I will try to keep this first post up to data and I will modify it....

Actually, you can get the manuals and/or leaflets for most of the DVD+RW Recorder models at DVDplusRW.org. The site is not called "the ultimate unofficial DVD+RW & DVD+R resource site" for nothing.

I don't think there is a website dedicated to DVD-R, DVD-RW, and/or DVD-RAM. I guess this will do until someone creates one.

There are several postings asking questions about the DVD Recorder LG RH-4820. I don't think it is available in US yet. I don't own one either. Any way, this is the link to get the manual:

Search the manual in Europe/United Kingdom, then select ">".

Select the product as "DVD Player". Don't select "DVD Player/Recorder" which is for DVD Player + VHS recorder!. Enter the model number "RH4820" and you can get the link to the manual.

OK.... I am going to update this list since I am again in mood of purchasing DVD Recorder. This time I am going to look for EU version of recorders.

Even with all the manuals it's not always easy to tell what a unit can and can't do. Are there any hard drive models that can play a DVD and record a broadcast to the HDD at the same time? That's one feature I'd really like to see.
