  1. I originally made a DVD using a set of source files that were re-encoded to fit on a DVD+RW using Ulead DVD Moviefactory 2. Recently however, I decided to make a better quality disc by using TMPGEnc on the source files to make another bunch of mpeg2 files of a substanially higher bitrate than the Ulead ones.

The files themselves are big, but I made sure that they would be under the 4.37gb limit. Altogether they come in at 4.32gb and Ulead will still not burn them with the "Do not convert compliant MPEG files" box checked. The size estimator originally had the files right up to the 4.4gb limit, but after downloading a patch to seemingly get a more accurate file size estimation, Ulead says the files are 4.5gb big!

Is there any way of forcing Ulead to burn what I've got, or do I need to re-encode the files? If I do, what size should they come to in order for me to be able to burn them, since I was sure that 4.32gb would've burnt OK.

  3. i also use Ulead DVD Moviefactory 2; however, i do not use it to burn it to a dvd. after i have authored i usually then just creat the .vob files and the .iso files to create the dvd. i then burn the .iso to dvd using DVD Decrypter. i often burn with files sizes just under 4.7gb with no problems.

try using DVD Decrypter to burn the .iso, you should not have any problems, if that does not work then try what reboot has suggested.

    hope that helps

  4. Thanks for the suggestions, but I already decided to re-encode the files to make them around 4.3GB (which has only just finished!).

However...now Ulead isn't burning at all due to another problem. I'm not sure what's going on, but when ready to actually burn the disc, Ulead just ejects the DVD (which has already been burnt to successfully once) and displays this error message:

    DVDRAM-SPTI-2A-02-07-27-00

    Anybody have any ideas?
