As long as your compliant mpg files dont go over around 4.17 gb then you can add as many hours as you want,7 hours is about that amount for mpg1(vcd) files.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.

  3. Put your clips into Tmpgenc DVD Author and then click on the grey box that represents one of the clips in the Source Files area. It will show info about the clips. VCD should have a bitrate of about 1133 kbps.

If it doesn't make sense to you or you don't know how to correct it post all the info about the clip.

I think presto is on to something. My guess is that some of your clips may not be VCD compliant.

Yes... any VCD compliant mpeg will work in TMPGenc DVD Author
Look, let me explain something. I'm not Mr. Lebowski; you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. That, or Duder. His Dudeness. Or El Duderino, if, you know, you're not into the whole brevity thing--

you sure can, the audio might have to change to 48000hz to play in your dvd player. from what i remember though tmpgenc dvd author will automatically try to change to that.

  9. then how come the file after in the folder are way too big. was about 5-7 gb .???
What is the name of this folder and where is it? What are these files? How do you know they are 5-7 gb?

The reason I ask is because if Tmpgenc DVD Author estimates that they will fit on the disk there is no way it will be that far off. If the video was too big to fit on a DVD TDA would warn you.

Also when TDA finishes creating the files it offers to burn for you. What happens if you just let TDA burn the disk?

(Maybe you are looking at ALL the files in the My Documents/Tmpgenc DVD Author folder. Your disk will be in ONE of those folders. It will either have the name of your project or a random number. Inside that folder will be a video_ts folder with the needed files in it.)
