  1. I can't complain about the printing to CD but the loading mechanism sucks. I constantly have to reload the tray and even coax it in at the proper time. This is my second one so it probably isn't a fluke. If the 900 did a better job with black ink and loaded from the front I would still be using it.
    .................just my take.

  2. So far its working well for me. Loads right up and prints. I don't think it could get much easier. Now I just need water proof ink.

Are you sure you're aligning the arrows properly? I haven't had any problems with mine.

The problems is universally with the front edge of the loading tray. The translucent plastic edge that the rollers initially grab on to. Make douobly sure it is straight and not kinked or even the slightest bit bent. I consistently just push the tray till it it can;t go not more. I disregard the little arrows completely. It is the initial in and out cycle before it actually begins to print that aligns it. Those little white rectangles on top of the tray are sensed by the the printer somehow as it gets pulled in and out. Notice how it stops in certain positions prior to printing. Anyway, I've printed probably 1000+ dusks on my R300 so far with only an accassional tray problem. It always gets traced to those front tabs.

I've wondered about that. I always line the arrows up, but sometimes the Epson will spit the tray back out too far and make me reinsert it, which is kind of a pain. It always seemed to me like it was doing an alignment procedure on its own, but I wasn't sure. I will have to try just pushing it farther in the next time I print. I use the R300.

  7. I agree with jtoolman2000, if you line up the arrows exactly it somtimes spits the tray back out. I push it in a little farther and haven't had any problems.
If it works, don't fix it.
