  1. Hey everyone, I have been making a movie with some friends and I captured it on my computer and edited and it is all ready to go. It was a DV that I captured onto the computer and I am done editing. I know how to export the movie, but I am just not sure what kind to export to. I want to put it on DVD and author it eventually but I also want to put a preview of it on a website. How shuold I go about exporting it?

encode it as mpeg2 for dvd (and you will need to author it after) and encode it as wmv9 or QT for the web

    WMV9 isn't to blame..
It's the 256k bitrate that's dragging you down..
If that's the case, and you still wanna keep the filesize down, try exporting to a 320x240 resolution..This is the sacrifice you pay for filesize versus quality...

    Good luck!!!

wmv9 has a very soft blurry look to it. Thats the nature of the codec and it becomes more apparent when using a low bitrate. Use mpeg2 with a high bitrate and you should be happy with the results.[/url]
