  1. is this a scam? last time i checked, verbatim were overpriced junk except the mitsubishi chemical one?

would this be better than ritek or prodisk? $40 for verbatim media seems a little bit unplausible...

what are your comments on this deal, and company?

you might want to tell use what company you're talking about. while you're at it you might also tell us where you saw this special. Or were you hoping for this price...somewhere?

Posted this before he put up the link to the store so this might no longer be relevant. Still a good read in my opinion.

A $40 deal is usually not. I am always surprised at people on this forum who talk about the price of media without mentioning shipping or possibly tax. As if one is trying to convince the rest that he is getting some kind of super deal. Pricewatch lists shipping as part of the price and rightly so because most companies make a profit off shipping\handling and therefore that should just go into the whole cost.

For example. lets say I make a post saying:
Just found a great deal on allmediaoutlet, Taiyo Yuden DVD-Rs 1.57 each! (yes I know this is not that great of a deal)
They come in ten packs 15.70 each. However, to ship to New York via ground costs $6.35. Those less than a dollar discs are suddenly 2.20 each. Doesn't have the same impact does it. And every ten pack you buy adds about a dollar to shipping. Don't get me wrong, allmediaoutlet is a great store, but if you don't mention shipping (unless its free), your price quote is worthless and misleading, especially when someone is going for a super cheap deal. Similarly, especially if I buy here in New York City, sales tax is a big factor. For example, a 100 Memorex DVD+Rs for $100 after $100 instant rebate suddenly turns into $117.00 final cost after tax! For an extra $17 dollars, maybe you should just shop online.

Damn, what a shady site!. I wouldn't shop there if they were $10 for a 100! The total comes to $50 btw.

seems like the total is $50 no matter what you buy, even the + media that lists for $51!! buyer beware....more info from their site...

OverSearch.net is one of the web's best price portals, helping customers find the best deals on the best goods. With over 25-50% savings on every order, how can we go wrong?

OverSearch.net was created to fill the raging demands for media during the birth of the "burner age". We do not supply actual media but more importantly the lists to purchase media at lower prices, thus increasing the strength of the industry as a whole. Through our efforts, we would like to help lower costs of media and bring them closer to the reach of the everyday consumer.

    Our Offices are located at:
    OverSearch.net
    8345 NW 66TH ST #6150
    Miami, FL, 33166-2626
notice the part that says they do not SUPPLY the actual media. funny they stand behind "their" products 100% (as per their site) even if they don't actually sell any.

  7. Shady! I believe the $50 is for the membership only then you have to pay for the product plus shipping and how knows what else. This site should be report to the internet scam squad.
