  1. ok , i decided to do this . i will probably buy the region 1 Oz dvd and get the multi region hack for my stand alone lg dvd 5183 player

Now here is the thing , the disc(Oz) is coded in ntsc right , and since my tv is pal the picture would be gay right. But i know that u can change signals on the dvd , u can change from ntsc to pal and pal to ntsc. Would this help me with the picture problem ? Or is the problem still in tv? Is it only possible to solve the problem by having the tv change the signals or would by just changing signals from dvd help me?

  2. if you have a multisystem dvd player, then it shouldnt be a problem. the dvd player will do an on-the-fly conversion to pal for you.

Some (though not all) DVD players will convert NTSC to PAL for playback on a PAL television.

Also some PAL televisions can play back NTSC

So you need to check out your equipment.

Probably not but you can double check ...

Look on the left hand side of the site and click on DVD PLAYERS and then enter your make/model for some info.

Also you need to check into your TV as well.

A multisystem player does not necessarily convert anything to anything. All it means is that it is capable of outputting both PAL and NTSC in their native forms. Go through the setup menu on your player. If you can't find an option specifying how to output NTSC, then it will not convert NTSC to PAL.
