What is the best 8x DVD+R media to use?

Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew which media is the best to use, and I was thinking of purchasing a spindle of Optorite 8x media at this site: http://avlogic.com/product.cgi?code=18030222
I was also considering buying the Ritek 8x media in the orange colored wrapper. If you can provide any advice regarding my question, I would greatly appreciate it, thanks.

Looking at the page, I noticed that about half of the most popular drives only support 4X on these disks, what burner do you have? I would pass.

I have a Lite-On LDW-811S which supports writing 8x DVD+R media. I looked at those Taiyo Yuden, but they are a bit more than I am willing to spend, and I am unsure of whether they would be compatible. What would you think about the Optorite 8x media? Thank you both for your replies.

As far as compatibility goes, I barely ever see my drive listed..... But TY's have always worked for me. They are definetely more expensive compared to other disks, but I never gotten a coaster yet with them (knock on wood)

Wouldn't hurt to try one of each...... And make a determination.

Taiyo Yuden 4X and 8X+R are the Best media I have seen. Seems that Verbatim has slipped on their media quality.

U need to match the media with your writer. Best media is authoring media & its for authoring writers.
