  1. Hi all
I'm trying to get a handle on DVD recorders and especially regarding transferring old VHS tapes. Preferring the simple route ie NOT using the PC i wondered if anyone can help explain what editing can be done with a stand alone. Reading some of the things on this forum i gather a hard drive would be the way to go but i'm still pretty clueless Ultimately i'd like my finished (finalised) DVD disc to be playable on the majority of players out there. All opinions welcomed. Thanks

Besides the usual auto-chapter-making, the Cyberhome lets you make chapters at any point durning playback.

This feature and the "hide" command lets you "delete" TV ads.
Make a chapter mark at the beginning of the ad then at the end.
While the ad is playing, execute "Hide" by selecting it in the edit menu.

Make the DVD+RW compatible and copy it onto a dvd-r.
The +RW is not compatible with all DVD players where as the -R is.

BTW using a DVD player and audio gear, you can make your own collage by using the pause button.

Buying one at work when the budget finally rolls around in the fall.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
