  1. I've been given the start time and end time of certain sections of a DVD that my boss would like made into clips. I was using DVD to DIVX VCD RIPPER because it would let me create clips according to the time designations.

However, I have a really old DVD and the program doesn't like it. Can you think of any other program or method that I can use to create the clips based on the start time and end time?

I appreciate any help you can give me.

You can rip the DVD to one large VOB with DVD Decrypter in file mode and then use Womble MPEG VCR to open the VOB and make your clips.

  5. Ok, I used DVDshrink and it gave me a VOB file. What should I use to convert the VOB to mpeg so it can be viewed in Windows Media Player?

    Thanks!

    Tools>Settings>File Mode>File Splitting=none.

Use a software DVD player like WinDVD or Power DVD. WMP mpeg-2 playback is poor.
