  1. Hello guys i have a benq dw800(it is somting like that) Also i have the newset firmware on it. And i bought a pack of 4x memorx dvd+r that burned at 8x perfectly for me they were made by cmc. now i have 50philips 2.4x that are made by cmc and i can only burn at 2.4x so i was wondering if there was a method or program to force it to burn them at 8x regardless of quality or less failed dvd+r. thanks.

Try not to be so anxious! The answer is no. Unless you flash that drive with one of the hacked firmware ( dangerous ) that allow some drives to burn even 1x media at 8x. One thing you need to consider is that DVD and even CD media is rated to burn at specific speeds. There must be a reason for that. The composition and formula of the dye has to do a lot with it. Force burn 1x media at 4and even 8x and you are asking for coasters. I'm not saying it's impossible but I rather be safe. If I need 8x burns, I go out and purchase some high quality 8x media. There are a few out there. The same thing applies for 4x burns. On the other hand I routinely burn 1x disks at about 2.4x without any problems but try that on someone else's machine and the results may be entirely different. It's all pretty much a crap shoot. That's why some people have trouble with "brand X" and some don't.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

  4. Most 4xDVD+R medias can be burned at 8x with no problem
but the old 2.4x dye doesn't like to be burned at higher speed.

The official LiteOn 401 has a writing strategy to burn 2.4xmedias at 4x but the results are not too promising.

2.4xDVD+R medias are not cheaper anyway.
You stop me again whilst I'm walking and I'll cut your fv<king Jacob's off.
