  1. Stumbled across this little program and it seems fairly handy. I sure you all know about it, "EndItAll". Learned early on backing up DVD's, currently using Pinnacle 9 Moviebox DV the importance of shutting down other programs and Apps running in the background. I saw XP wasn't listed for EndItAll but decided to try it anyways. Seems to be working good for now and easier than going to MSCONFIG and doing it manually. My question, has anyone experienced any negatives using it with XP? Not being able to pick up on all applications running etc? Is there a better program that does the same thing available, designed for XP? Thanks for your time.

Appears to work well. I use it with XP Home. Useful when you need to shutdown running apps prior to installs.

  5. So far so good. Some programs or applications won't respond to closing so I ended up using the kill option. Once everything is set up it is very easy. I just did a reformat so much of the stuff shown running wasn't a surprise. Some of the apps listed running I found on Google for a better understanding of what it was. SYCHOST.EXE has got me puzzled though. I have 4 of them listed running. Will experiment with them. Hope i'm not playing Russian Roulett Thanks everyone.
