  1. Hi Folks

Can you help me with a small problem.

I have a DVDR550 but can't get it to record more than 60mins on to a DVD+R. I am using Memorex DVD+R disks.

    Any help much appreciated.

  3. Turn on the machine. With NO disc in the machine, press <setup> on the remote. scan down to the heading "recording" and select this. In the next section that appears, select "record quality". A third section will appear with 5 options HQ SP LP EP SLP. Each of these will allow more recording time on the disc 1hr 2hr 3hr 4hr and 6hr, but you will loose out on the quality of the picture for each step. I have recorded films in SLP 6hr format, and they seem to give an equivalent quality to a LP video cassette. Hope this helps
