  1. Hi!

I'm now using dvdfab to split my dvd's and it works just fine, but I cant seem to burn the second part of my splitted dvd with the program that I use..(Nero Recode..)

So, what I'm looking for is an easy program that does the same thing as dvdfab, (menus, extras and the first part of the movie on disc 1 and the rest of the movie on disc 2..)

Does anyone know a program that can do this?? Please help!

    /Johan!

DVDShrink is only good for splitting main movie only. If you want to keep menus etc.. The best program out there for splitting is Intervideo DVDCOPY. It will split your movie to 2 disc and burn them....keeping all extras etc.

  4. As far as I know you will not have working menus if you use DVD Shrink, unless something changed in the last few months.

I use IfoEdit, and Nero, when I want to split a DVD onto two disks. Of course I no longer split anything, because I'm waiting for the Dual layer burners.

  6. Why not try burning with something else. Maybe try ImgTools and DVDdecrypter.
    Blah, blah, blah

  7. I split with DVDRemake - you keep menus on both discs, you can handle all kinds of weird authoring techs like mutli-PGC titles ect.

  8. Back agin!

nufan292: I've read that a lot of people are very satisfied using dvd decrypter to burn there files.. Why? Is it simple? "Safer?" If I remember rightly you have to convert the files to ISO file before burning them? How does the stand-alone players handle ISO files??

djelimon: I've read a little bit about this program and almost everybody seems to think that it is a great program..(?) Does it burn to?

By the way, I've downloaded the latest version of DVDFab and everything worked like a charm!!

No... designed as a niche proggy, not an all-in-one.

Next release, it becomes more of a full-blown authoring/programming tool instead of just a re-authoring, re-programming tool. Just hope it stays cheap.

I used to think DVDFab was the ultimate splitter. Until I tried to split that Looney Tunes collection, and absolutely fabulous (seasonal disks implemented as 1 title, multi-pgc's). Then it does a brainfart. But hey, it is sort of free.
