I am going to partition my hard drive and try Cinlerra on my computer. I have some experience with linux, mainly red hat 8.0, but I would like to know which distro is the best for video editing. I was thinking of using Fedora, but I have never tried it. Before I install it, does anyone have any suggestions?

I have Knoppix, which is a live-cd, and can be installed on FAT32 too. Its loaded with over 2 GB of apps, with KDE. Its great!
