  1. Hi all,

I backed up a disc onto the hard drive using DVD Decrypter, in File Mode. But when I tried to use DVD Shrink 3 beta 5 to compress, I got an error message saying it couldn't decrypt VOBS -- even though Decrypter was supposed to have decrypted everything.

As a result, I had to use Shrink 3.17 to shrink the files; but I wasn't exactly happy with the quality, since the compression rate was fairly high -- just a tad below 75%. So I'm wondering if there are other version of Shrink can I use in place of 3 beta 5 and still get good outputs?

A link to download the said version would be greatly appreciated too. Thanks in advance!

you can download a older version of dvdshrink but the one you used is pretty stable. I use the same version that you used but I don't use dvdshrink to compress. I use DVD2ONE especially for my REGION 3 movies. Otherwise for REGION 1 movies I just use DVDSHRINK 3.0 beta5. I need the menu function for my REGION 3 movies so I don't use DVDSHRINK to backup.

  5. Thanks for the link, budz.

So if 3 Beta 5 doesn't work, 3.1.6 is the next choice?
