  1. I got a home theater set up disc, and during the audio test, I got no sound out of the right channel. I tried another DVD, and sure enough, I have no sound out of the right channel. I hooked up another DVD player to my same setup, with the same cable and everything, and when I use the set up disc again, it shows that I get sound fine, including out of the right channel. This makes it appear that the problem is with the DVD player. I have tried unplugging it overnight, resetting it under the menus, and messing with every audio setting, and I cannot get it to play the right channel. Does anyone know how to fix this problem, or am I just going to have to get a new player?

Double check your settings for mono and balnace etc. If that's not it, I could check it but it isn't worth it. Just get a replacement for $20 + shipping off Ebay.

Better yet use this to upgrade, get the Phillips 642 so you can play Divx. I have both now and like the Divx..
