  1. If anyone currently uses a UK Online DVD rental service, could you post who you are you using and what they're like here please.

I'm currently using qflicks.co.uk on a 'special' (3 dvds at a time for £15 pm) - but turn around has got really bad lately and I'm thinking of using a different service.

But with so many available now (even MSN advertise one), I wanted any suggestions from others out there...

Good and Bad comments please (so I can see who's good, and who to avoid)

    cheers.

lovefilm went downhill, qflicks were never as good as lovefilm when I started with them and then went downhill.
I'm with screenselect, been superb so far.
I have a code for friends for three weeks free trial, let me know if you want it.

  3. I'm glad I did this now - screenselect is a new one to me! Thankyou!

their stock of DVD seems good - and a standard price of £15pm for 3 DVD's a time is great!

And if you don't mind me having your promotional code (That isn't a typo is it? really 3 weeks free?) - then that's even better - Thankyou again!

(seriously, if you don't mind giving up your code to me, I'll greatfully recieve it - do you want to PM it to me?)

I too was with Lovefilm ( and with them when they were dvdsontap ), and jumped to qflicks to take advantage of free trial and £15pm after...

I was actually with Webflix first - but move to dvdsontap to take advantage of their free trial...

My only hope is that I can find I consistant service - as I fear they will all have 'dips' in service as more people go with them.
(perhaps best not to shout out how good screenselect are, else everyone will go with them and down their service goes!)

  4. Cheers for the recommendation, someone elsewhere also suggested them - they did also add that there is a code for 30 day free trial available in most DVD magazines, but:

The t'interweb is bloody great! I don't know why people bother going outside anymore....

    (only joking)

I did however pop "screen select promotional code" into google and got hold of this:
"Sign Up After Entering The Promotional Code TF31 And Instead Of The Standard 14 Day Trail, You'll Recieve 30 Days"

I've heard of that 30 day code, a pal of mine says he used it for three consequetive months so I'm not sure either if it's legitimete or will even work.
Mine is legit, PM me if you want it, I'm due anther rental tomorrow and it'll be inside that

  6. All signed up! 30 day free trial and £15 there after.

The promo code above worked a treat, and I presume that if it's printed in magazines, anyone can use it, don't know how long it will be valid for though...
(so thanks for the offer, but won't need you code)

    Cheers again.

  7. Interesting to see what's available in the UK - We also have a Qflix though not the same selections.

I'm surprised by what's not available over there...though you guys have a handful of titles I've been hoping would be released over here

You also get a better music selection than we do

I've been trying some of the other online rental outlets and each seems to have it's fair share of alternate selections.
