    Hi all,

I have a Lite-On LVD-2002 DVD-DivX player and has worked well playing my DivX & XviD on CD-R. I just recently tried a DVD-to-XviD using high bitrate encode (3Mbps). Plays FANTASTIC on my software RealOne and also Windows Media Player. Looks identical to original. The file is 3.9GB, so I burned to DVD-R using Nero 5.10 UDF data structure. To my surprise the LVD-2002 does not support UDF data disks, only ISO.

Is there any set-top players that play this type of disk or do I have to do a Laptop to TV hook-up?

    Thanks.

  2. Sorry guy, but from what I have read, they don't read that format. Its kept me on the side line from getting a player, but given the reviews of the Philips DVP642, I will make the jump. Mine were always split at 2 gigs anyway.

So, get VirtualDub Mod and split the files. Then burn as DVD Data ISO.

For the love of God, use hub/core labels on your Recordable Discs!

I must have been reading your mind . After I posted, I thought to myself, if ISO is 2GB or less, lets try splitting with VDMod. I did this successfully in 2 files and burned in ISO mode with Nero and my kids (as I type this) are watching "My Fair Lady" XviD movie, a childhood favorite of mine. Thanks for the feedback.

    Cheers.
