  1. Will DVD2one allow me to do a full back up when the new dual layer disc arrive? I am a little confused as I have seen different comments.

    Presumably once we have dual layer burners and discs we wont need dvd2onex anymore since there will be no more need to shrink the original...

    When these drives arrive, you wont need dvd2one as this is an app that reduces file size of video_ts folder down to 4.4 gigs [or whatever size you wish]
    If you have a dvd capable of holding well over 4.4 then the app is not needed

    all you would have to do is rip and burn!

    Nah it's OK, you're right, you did explain what dvd2onex does in a better way. I was just a bit testy this morning (as you were no doubt aware from this and the sizzle thread )

    PS Regarding the original question,this news item (on a rival board I'm afraid) (and it's PC software - beware the dark side! ) shows a few features we can expect.
