If I get rich, I've always promised myself I'd buy a Delorean. I don't want one with all this "time travel" stuff on it (I have a few models cars that are fine), but the real running car would be great to have.
There's one at the race track in Kyle, Texas (south of Austin on I-35) if anybody wants to see a nice one. It's got up-to-date tags and everything, drives great according to the owner. I saw that about 2 years ago when I went to see a buddy race, and I'd bet the guy's still got it in the display garage.
In general, I hear they have bad motors that often need repairing. Best thing is to rip the thing out and put in a new one, custom job required. Again, as I hear it.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
