  1. When I try to import the MPEG1 into DvdLab it loads up but only about 18mins of it instead of the full 34 mins. Im confused.

  2. Which version of DVD-Lab.

Are you sure that all the MPEG1 frames are correct, not corrupt?

  3. I have version 1.3

I am quite sure bcause just before I re-encoded them I did a check and everything was fine. I re-encoded them because on the final Dvd they were out of sync.

  4. I have two idea, but they are not solutions just a way round this fault. I could either re-encode it to Mpeg2 (take a long time) and see if that works or I could encode just from 18 mins onwards annd and have two files instead of one making up the video. Tell me what you think.

What I found is the way you import them, do not remux them (even though it says it is beneficial), just use as is.

I know, I forgot to mention some side effects. You also will probably not be able to view it (within DVDLab). I have a feeling it is a non-compliant MPEG you are trying to import. That's when the issues arise, take the good with the bad .

Depends on your definition of work. It will import MPEG1 of varying types, try de-multiplexing the video, rename the m1v to (shoot I can't remember the extension, I'm at work) the file type it expects. By working if you want chapters and preview of video/chapter pictures, then it will have to be a compliant video - 352x240 (cbr 1500???, it may not care on this) , audio 44100 29.97 fps (NTSC), with the standard GOP. Otherwise, you will have to manually add in chapters, and you will not be able to get pictures for the chapter points, you have to use buttons with text identifying the entry, unless you create the bmp/jpg yourself and import them. Just remember as soon as you rencode - your quality is going to get worse.

  11. So, quality gets worse every time I re-encode? I had no idea. I thought as it is digital, nothing changes. Anyway I figured out what to do to solve my problem. I cut up the video with Tmpgenc into sections shorter than 18 mins and they all import fine and I can add chapters too - in a txt file, but that is all I wanted to do anyway. Now I have to deside weither to do it again from the original video, I only encoded it once, so I think there isnt much difference. I really dont wanna do it all again.

  12. Ive found this to be the only way I can add any movie over 18mmegs. Sucks alittle.
