Dvd playback problem

Hi, I'm using dvdshrink3.0beta5 and img tool 1.1.0 to burn. I recently notice that sometime the movie skip, or some play on my ps2 and some don't. I know its not the media problem because I'm using a TDK. Can anyone help me with this? thanx

The original disc may have been scratched or dirty. Try cleaning or repairing the disc then rip again. You could also try dvddecrypter. Sometimes dvdshrink has issues, although it is a good program.

please explain more. does the skipping occur throught the whole movie? have you tried playing the discs on other dvd players? the ps2 sometimes can be picky about the media you use.

I know its not the media problem because I'm using a TDK

not necessarily. TDK isnt the best media out there, and it could be your problem. have you tried any other media?

Then again, your dvd lens could be dirty. You could try cleaning that. Anything having to do with computers is trial and error.

probably the media tdk uses cmc mag sometimes

could try a firmware update on your burner too

Sometime the dvd is skipping through the whole movie and sometimes it just don't play. I have tried my KLH dvd player too and it does the same thing as the ps2. I also have tried to clean my dvd lens on the burner and player. Is there any other suggestion?

Ok, I tried to install new firmware and its fine now, Thanx guys. One quick question though, I have two burners a Verbatim and a Sony dru-530a. I did the same burning process for both and on my Cyberhome Ch-402 dvd player never work with the Sony, but everything plays when I use my Verbatim. Any ideas?
