  1. Which one is a better DVD authoring and burning program?
TMPGNEC DVD AUTHOR or MYDVD by SONIC?

  2. Depends on which version of MyDVD we're talking about.

The full version (aka Sonic MyDVD v5.2 Deluxe) or something that was included with a piece of hardware?

the better authoring program is the one that a) does what you need it to do, and b) is comfortable to use and makes sense to you.

as for burning, would you use an iron to make toast? no, you use a toaster. Use burning software to burn, not to author - use authoring software to author, not burn.

I have used an iron to make toast (really!) and a blow torch,
Also boil eggs in a kettle (throwing in a tea bag saves time aswell) , and cheese on toast in a toaster (place toaster on side)

Oh btw MYDVD that came with the burner was poo,
TDA good for quick & simple dvds,
using dvdlab for more complicated/advanced projects.
both apps make coasters (or should that be toasters) if burnt to dvd-r, (+r works ok though)
so I burn with nero 5.5.....

    Good advice

I recommend, nero for burning, but then that is what works for me with my equipment.
    If it's wet, drink it
