I found toast 6 lite on ebay for $25 (usd) and was wondering if this was a good enough deal to buy it
i dont need alot of fancy features just need a good solid dvd/cd burning program for os x (cheap as possiable) the free stuff that has been suggested on version tracker is not really what im looking for, plus it looks like support for many of those has ended
any help would be greatly aprciated
    Thanks

never heard of a lite version of toast 6.
contact roxio first and ask them if there is a lite version.
this guy may be selling copies of toast 6 on ebay illegally, since there are only his items that come up when you do toast 6 lite, it leads me to believe this is shady somehow

you could also PM skeekercat on ebay, he seems to have purchased it. ask him/her what it is, and if its really the app etc.

can anyone confirm the existence of a toast 6 lite?!

There is a Toast 6 Lite that is bundled with some CD/DVD drives. It is not available for purchase. I suspect the license does not allow for its resale but since I don't have that version I don't know this for certain. Here is a link to a Roxio page that describes the features of Toast 6 Lite and Titanium. Note that most features require Toast Titanium, but Toast 6 Lite does burn CDs and DVDs.

yeah i checked roxio.com and alot of features are not present on the lite version, it also looks like the lite verison is for corp installs and like frobozz said comes with new drives..
i might try what you said about pm'ing the person who bought the app..
gosh and to think some one might actually be doing some thing illegal on the internet, and on ebay none the less
    im shocked!

I have a copy of Toaste Lite that came with a Lacie DVD burner. It just controls CD and DVD burning, with no authoring or encoding of video. It will do audio CDs, but obviously iTunes will do that, too. The only advantage of it is that it is fast, mainly because it doesn't copy files into a HD cache the way the Apple disk burning in OSX does. But I have had compatibility problems with PCs with disks I have burned with it.

In summary, there is no way it is worth $25.

    So Toast lite is $25?
    Why not do this:
Go here to buy it with free shipping:
    http://www.buy.com/retail/product_jump.asp?sku=20358801&SearchEngine=PriceGrabber&Sear...ft&dcaid=15890

Come back here and write a review and get $5 back

    http://www.pricegrabber.com/search_getprod.php/masterid=1106784/blsrt=1/ut=4143fcc26fc5ada8

Total price $66.46, not bad and well worth the price.
