  1. Hello:

I’m trying to add a Spanish subtitle to The Shawshank Redemption movie; it came only with English subtitle. These are the step I take to try to do it:

    1. I use [/color]DVD Shrink (3.1) to compress and copy the movie to my HD.
    2. SubRip (1.17.1): to rip the subtitle to SRT.
    3. Subtitle Workshop (2.51): to translate the subtitle.
    4. Str2Sup (a4.03): to convert the SRT to a SUP file.
    5. VOB Edit (0.6): to demux the VOB file. I demux all video, audio and subp streams. The result was one M2V, one AC3 and two SUP files.

So far, so good. I test the M2V and AC3 files with PowerDVD and they work fine. Now there comes the problem:

I use IFO Edit (0.96) to author my DVD. On DVD Author/Multiplex window I include the M2V, AC3, both SUP files and my new SUP (specifying the subpicture language for each one)

I also include the celltimes file and the subtitle colors (previously copied from the original IFO file).

It star and finish processing and multiplexing the files without errors (as I can see).

But, the result DVD has no sound included. When I open the new IFO file I notice in the “Title Set (Movie) attributes” section there is no Audio 1. The movie looks fine, the subtitles work fine (including the new Spanish subtitle).

    What happened?
    What I made wrong?

    Thanks,

    Cael00

PD: sorry for my bad English, now you know why I’m trying to add a new subtitle.

  2. the AC3 file needs to be "fixed".
    get " Besliced ".
and drag the AC3 file onto the old mans head <----im serious!!.
that should sort out the problem.
    fixed mine.

    :P
